Alicia Qian
WRITER/DIRECTOR
Alicia Qian (she/her) is a 21 year old filmmaker and sound designer with an irrational love for audio, writing, and most of all food. Growing up Chinese-American, food has always been a central part of how she connects with her peers and family. Alicia has directed and sound designed several shorts, some of which have aired on NPR and featured on Apple’s Best of 2021 Podcasts. She is more than excited to bring this delicious narrative to life along with the plethora of incredibly talented folks she’s met along the way. Cheers!

Tiffany Wan
HEAD PRODUCER
Tiffany is a producer and director from California and New York. She is currently a senior at NYU, studying Film & TV. During her time at NYU, she has worked on a variety of film sets ranging from pre-production to production to post production. She is very grateful for this opportunity in bringing Alicia’s story to life!

Mir Lien
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
Mir Lien (she/her) is an emerging producer in her second-year in UGFTV. Being half-Chinese, she is passionate about telling stories that bridge cultures and explore familial ties. In recent years, Mir and her father have enjoyed experimenting with creating plant based versions of their culture’s traditional dishes.

Isabella Nicdao
LINE PRODUCER
Isabella Nicdao (any pronouns) is a producer, actor, and director currently studying Drama and Producing at NYU Tisch. In all their work, Isabella seeks to explore what “belonging” means through embracing underrepresented stories and storytellers. Having moved nearly 20 times, she herself hails from no particular hometown but feels lucky to have found a home and chosen family in the city. They are also proudly part of the Operations team for the Asian American International Film Festival through Asian CineVision. Her favorite foods are her mom’s lumpia and chicken adobo.

Winona Lu
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Winona does not like writing bios but does love this project. She has always found solace and belonging in films and stories and so, in all that she works on, Winona hopes to bring out the essence of the story at hand and help it to reach people in the same way stories have reached her. Her study at NYU Tisch has given her the skills to do so, as has her onset experiences in many departments.

Divya Subbiah (she/her) is a senior at Tisch, majoring in Film & Television and minoring in English and American Literature. She firmly believes that the West Coast is the best coast and that iced coffee is an all-season drink. Divya wears many hats but screenwriter, graphic designer, and avid baker are some of her favorites; she couldn't be more excited to be involved in the making of this film.

Originally from New Jersey, Katrina Kwok (she/her) is a New York-based writer, editor, and graphic designer. She is currently a senior studying Film & TV Production with a minor in Digital Art & Design at NYU’s Tisch and Steinhardt. She is beyond excited to be working on this film and cannot wait to begin production!

Alison Mei
ART DIRECTOR
Alison Mei (she/her) is a New York based writer, director, producer, and production designer. As a senior in NYU Tisch’s film and television program, she has extensive experience on student film sets. Her drive to amplify meaningful and provocative stories stems from her strong passion for storytelling through the visual medium of film. When she’s not on set, you can find her hanging out at your nearest cafe, writing in the park, or crocheting at home.

Lucy Walkowiak
FOOD STYLIST/CHEF
Lucy Walkowiak (she/her) is a Senior majoring in Film and Television with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. She typically works as a producer but is excited to break into food styling. She’s passionate about cooking and baking and has watched hundreds of hours of Youtube cooking videos (her favorite channels are Binging with Babish and Cooking with Dog.) She and Alicia are currently workshopping original recipes to display in the film, crafting a multi-course Shanghainese feast including cocktails and dessert.

MAKEUP ARTIST
Elim (she/her) is a student and makeup-lover from Shenzhen, China. She is currently a senior studying media and communications at NYU. In the future, she hopes to work in entertainment business on the marketing side. Finding a deep connection to the script, she is especially excited to work on her dear friend Alicia’s set as a makeup artist with all the skills she has learned doing makeup for various shoots and film sets (and on herself)!

Allison (she/her) is currently a 4th year student at SJSU in the animation/ illustration department. She enjoys sketching people in cafes, listening to vinyls, and petting cats.

Gabriella Miko
GAFFER
Born in Ho Chi Minh City and raised outside of Philadelphia, Gabriella Miko (she/her) is an adopted Vietnamese-American female filmmaker, specializing in directing and cinematography. Her most recent film, “BabyBox” was shot in the Czech Republic and is finding success in both European and US festival circuits. A senior at NYU, Gabriella has been a part of multiple Tisch productions, currently serving as gaffer and producer on advanced TV pilot “Acting Human”. In addition, Gabriella is a Production Intern at The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and is in pre-production for her advanced thesis film.

With a start in social justice work and community organizing, he began to transition into filmmaking with the purpose of telling stories with “taboo," queer, family, socio-economic, and mental health-related topics. Eámonn strives to uplift underrepresented voices/communities behind and in front of the camera.

Callie Chen Schultz (she/her) is a sophomore at NYU Tisch majoring in Film & Television with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology (BEMT). Youning loves food as much as she loves film. She finds confidence and empathy through filmmaking and cooking. This is exactly why she’d almost die for this project. From Beijing to Cali to New York, Youning aspires to continue exploring hidden stories through a personal voice as a writer, director, and actor. Now, she has had enough of the overfilled fridge and the aging microwave in her dorm, and she can’t wait to see the story(and a kitchen) come to life!!!

Julie Cai
EUNICE YANG
Julie Cai (she/they) is an actor, stage manager, theater technician, and NYU Tisch alum, currently based in Brooklyn. She is focused on making art that uplifts their community of queer, BIPOC artists. Outside of the arts, Julie also enjoys cooking, doing the New York Times Crossword, and peeking out the window when her train crosses the bridge. Julie is immensely grateful for the opportunity to join longtime collaborators on a project that showcases this heritage so beautifully. Linda Wing

Originally from Shanghai, China, Linda Wing was influenced by her elders as she grew up, and has been close to the film industry her whole life (her grandfather was a film director, and her mother was in several movies in her childhood!). She loves to dance and cook, and is involved in directing drama performances for the Chinese New Year at church. Linda is honored to be a part of Did You Eat Yet, and excited to play the part of Jiang!
